Carrie Underwood Self Conscious About Scar Will Have More Plastic Surgery, Report

June 2024 · 2 minute read

Carrie Underwood is still self-conscious about a scar on her face and will have more plastic surgery to correct it, according to a new report by Star magazine. Carrie was injured in November 2017, when she slipped and fell, broke her wrist and had a gash running from her nose to her lip that required between 40 and 50 stitches to close. When Carrie shared news about the injury, it was clear she felt that her facial appearance would be different. Most fans responded online that they couldn’t see the scar and thought she looked beautiful.

Though fans couldn’t see anything in Carrie’s photos, videos or public appearances, that doesn’t mean the scar wasn’t evident to her. Carrie’s made it clear through things she has said in the past that she sees the scar and that it has been a painful event for her, not only physically, but emotionally as well.

Now, a source spoke to Star magazine and said that Carrie still struggles with the physical imperfection and will undergo more plastic surgery to have it fixed.

Star’s source stated the following.

“She has a gash from her nostril to her lip, and no amount of makeup or filler will hide it. So she’s braving another trip to the plastic surgeon. [Carrie] is extremely self-conscious about her looks and demands photo approval and retouching on her promotional stuff, and Vaseline on the lens for TV performances.”

Carrie even showed her scar off on Instagram in a throw-back photo. You may see the picture of her scar below.

It doesn’t matter what the public thinks about Carrie’s face, her beauty, or her scar — what matters is the way Carrie views herself. Even though her husband of nine-years knows how beautiful Carrie is, the way Carrie sees herself is what’s most important.

If Carrie feels that the scar needs to be fixed and if she can’t live with the scar, then she needs to do what she must to feel as confident as possible every time she goes on stage and blesses the world with her gift of song.
