Amid updates about her relationship with Brandon and Theresa, Catelynn Lowell is sharing a tearful update about looking back on memories of her daughter Carly.
Catelynn Lowell recently sat down with Us Weekly to get candid about her relationship with her biological daughter Carly, and her adoptive parents Brandon and Teresa Davis.
The Teen Mom star revealed that her daughter Nova was struggling quite a bit with missing and understanding that she had a biological sister, and felt connecting the two would be best.
“When I saw her struggling, I reached out to Carly’s parents, and we were able to set up a FaceTime so her and Carly could talk,” Catelynn confessed.
The 30-year-old was then asked about her 16 and Pregnant episode of making the decision to put Carly up for adoption, with the support of her husband Tyler Baltierra.
“It’s all about honesty, really, when it comes to adoption,” she asserted. “When they’re old enough, we can watch that together.”
When the couple gave their daughter to Brandon and Teresa, the four agreed that the relationship would be open. Both parties made time to set meetups so Catelynn and Tyler could see Carly when they pleased.
However, the growth of the show only caused Carly’s adoptive parents to pull away, as they did not want Carly involved with MTV as much.
Catelynn admits that the conversation of Carly will only grow further, as their three daughters start to get older.
“[The conversation] will continuously evolve as my daughters get older and I have to keep explaining it,” but emphasizes that *being honest and transparent I think is the best way to parent when it comes to our story,” the outlet wrote.
On November 1, an episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter aired, which showed Catelynn and Tyler explaining to Nova why they decided to put Carly up for adoption.
