National Television Awards 2023: Full winners list!

The 2023 National Television Awards (NTAs) took place in London this evening (September 5th), celebrating the best the small screen has to offer! 

Hosted by comedian Joel Dommett, the event saw some of Britain’s biggest stars descended on The O2 Arena for a night of commemoration, and recognition. 

The near-three-hour ceremony saw Eastenders win multiple awards including Best Serial Drama, Best Serial Drama Performance (Danielle Harold aka Lola Pearce-Brown), and the Rising Star Award which went to Bobby Brazier for his portrayal of Freddie Slater.

Other notable wins included The Repair Shop for Best Daytime (beating ITV’s This Morning, who have famously been triumphant in this category for the last 12 years), Gogglebox, Happy Valley, Paul O’Grady: For The Love of Dogs, and Ant & Dec, who continued their 22-year streak of winning the TV Presenter Award.

This years Special Recognition Award, presented by Sir Ian McKellen, went to the formidable Sarah Lancashire

Speaking the audience, following a slew of onscreen tributes from the likes of Dawn French, writer Sally Wainwright OBE, and James Norton, a clearly overcome Lancashire said: “Without you, the audience, all of this would grind to a crashing halt, so please carry on watching, and we’ll keep doing what we do, for you!”
