RiRi fuels up with a high protein breakfast. Her personal chef, Debbie Solomon, revealed to  The Doctors that one of her go-tos in the AM is four boiled eggs, a piece of toast (with no crusts) and a bowl of mixed fruit for breakfast.

In an interview with British Vogue in 2018, Rihanna proclaimed that she loved being "thicc." "You want to have a" backside "then you have a gut," she said. "I'm about to get back into the gym and stuff, and I hope I don't lose my" backside "or my hips or all of my thighs. I'll lose some but not all. And I think of my," chest, "like, 'Imma lose everything, everything goes!'"

Rihanna has dealt with her fair share of body shaming, but she just brushes it off. "You've just got to laugh at yourself, honestly. I mean, I know when I'm having a fat day and when I've lost weight. I accept all of the bodies," she told Vogue. "I'm not built like a Victoria's Secret girl, and I still feel very beautiful and confident in my lingerie."

Rihanna has enlisted both Ary Nuñez and Harley Pasternak to whip her into shape. Pasternak once revealed that RiRi follows his 5 factor plan. "It's a workout made up of five phases, which starts off with a cardio warm-up for at least five minutes," he explained to Fashion. "Rihanna loves to ride on a stationary bike, whereas some people will jog, walk, run stairs. Phase two is an upper-body resistance exercise, such as a back row or a shoulder raise. Phase 3 is a lower body exercise, like a skater lunge or a hamstring curl. Phase 4 is an abdominal movement like a side bend or a trunk twist. Phase 5 is a cardio cool-down for at least five minutes. So she'll do a continuous circuit, and each day of the week we do different body parts."

Rihanna eats to fulfill her cravings, according to Solomon, who describes her as a "moody" eater. "[With previous clients] I would send in a menu on a Sunday or Monday and they would pick for the week, and then I'd be able to shop and prep, but this is nothing like that. We don't know what we're gonna want to eat tomorrow, so why even pick today?" she told Bon Appetit. Also, RiRi likes a lot of spice, so her chef always has bouillon-like maggi cubes, curry, jeera (also known as cumin seeds), Old Bay seasoning, adobo, and five-spice, as well as garlic and onion granules on hand.

Rihanna knows the importance of hydration. She revealed to Harper's Bazaar that she chugs at least her eight glasses of water a day. Says the Mayo Clinic

"So how much fluid does the average, healthy adult living in a temperate climate need? The U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine determined that an adequate daily fluid intake is:

These recommendations cover fluids from water, other beverages and food. About 20% of daily fluid intake usually comes from food and the rest from drinks."

Rihanna revealed to Vanity Fair in 2015 that one of her motivations to go hard at the gym is so that she can enjoy food. "I have been in the gym every day this week because I am not willing to give up my food," she revealed. "But I will sacrifice an hour for the gym."

In a June 2019 interview with Sarah Paulson for Interview magazine, Rihanna  revealed that she puts her mental health first. "It's only the last couple years that I started to realize that you need to make time for yourself, because your mental health depends on it," she said. "If you're not happy, you're not going to be happy even doing things that you love doing. It'd feel like a chore. I never want work to feel like a chore. My career is my purpose, and it should never feel like anything other than a happy place."
