Thomas Brodie-Sangster, also credited as Thomas Sangster, is an English actor and musician. He is known for his roles in The Maze Runner franchise, as well as the films Love Actually, Nanny McPhee, Tristan & Isolde, The Last Legion, Bright Star, Nowhere Boy, Hideaways, Death of a Superhero, The Baytown Outlaws, and Phantom Halo, and television’s The Miracle of the Cards, Bobbie’s Girl, Phineas and Ferb (in voice-over as Ferb), Accused, Game of Thrones, Wolf Hall, Thunderbirds Are Go, Godless, The Queen’s Gambit, and Pistol.

He is the son of actors Tasha Bertram and Mark Sangster. His father is Scottish, from Banchory, Scotland. His mother, who is English, has English, and smaller amounts of Channel Islander [Jersey], Scottish, Welsh, Cornish, and remote French and Belgian [Walloon], ancestry.

Thomas’s paternal grandfather is named Ernest Edward Sangster.

Thomas’s paternal grandmother is Maureen Gillanders (the daughter of John Gillanders and Helen Adelaide Keith). John was the son of Francis Gillanders and Elizabeth Johnstone. Helen was the daughter of Andrew Keith and Mary.
